Christmas Open Studio Saturdays

  • Christian Ryan Stained Glass (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

In the run up to Christmas Christian is opening the studio every Saturday from 10am - 5pm from 25th November to 23rd December. You can see work in progress and a selection of work available to buy with a price range between £22 - £450.

The workshop is situated in the village of Ewenny near Bridgend and if you're looking for a unique handmade gift this Christmas away from the hustle and bustle of the shops then you should plan a visit. Christian's workshop is next door to Ewenny Pottery and Claypits Pottery is just across the road. For food and drink there's the Village Diner next door or Cobbles Kitchen or the Golden Mile Inn a short drive away. For the green fingered there's also Ewenny Garden Centre just down the road!

A piece of luminous stained glass – and it need only be small in size – can be such a space enhancer. The work that comes from the studio of award-winning artist Christian Ryan is, he says, a combination of his love for ‘painting, graphics, craft and architecture.’ For me it is the mix of a traditional craft, executed with a deft contemporary approach, that makes Christian’s work so beguiling.
